REMOVING THE COVER (Canopy) OF AN ECLIPSE / AURORA

Removing the cover from either an Eclipse or Aurora is quite an easy task; you will need the following tools depending on the age of your umbrella:

* 4mm alen key
* 3mm alen key

For older umbrellas a Philips-head screwdriver may be required.
* A medium sized ladder

With the umbrella standing on it's spigot #33 first open the umbrella half way to be able to access the bolt and black washer on the main arm #14 securing the cover.
Keep this bolt and washer separate as it is a slightly different size on some batches of umbrella.
You will now be able to pull apart the Velcro connecting the join of the cover halves.

Now continue around the bottom edge of the cover removing the remaining seven bolts and washers.

[THE NEXT STEP ONLY APPLIES TO OLDER UMBRELLAS WHERE THE VENTED CANOPY IS SEPARATE TO THE MAIN CANOPY. Newer umbrellas feature a vent canopy that is stitched to the main canopy so you can skip this step]
The next step is to place your ladder beside your umbrella to aid in the removal of four screws located at the tops of the arms #1 just below the top hub #11 underneath the smaller dual cover.
These screws are connected to four straps that hold the cover in place when the umbrella is closed.
You can slightly lift the cover now that is disconnected at the bottom of the arms #1 and access the screws underneath the dual cover. The dual cover if left connected will hold the main cover from falling to the ground.

Finally, check to see if the Velcro is still separated then simply lift the cover from the frame.
Reverse the operations above to install a new cover (canopy) to your umbrella.
