ROTATION HANDLE REPAIR
This guide will help you repair your umbrella if you find your rotation handle #35 has separated from the lower rotation block #36.
Begin by neatly folding and securing the canopy against the mast #27 using the strap.
Lie your umbrella on a pair of saw horses or a table, this will give you access the bottom of the mast.
Remove the x6 screws securing the rotation assembly, x3 on each side with either a 4mm allen key or Philips head screwdriver.
Remove any debris from the mast in the area you are working on then remove both halves of the assembly by sliding them downwards and out the bottom of the mast.
Be careful not to lose the handle pin that secures the handle section to the small mounting block. When you remove the upper handle section this small pin becomes loose and may fall out one side.
Once you have removed the Rotation block remove any broken fragments of the original broken rolled pin from the hole of the protruding pin.
You can do this by either knocking it out or drilling with a 3mm drill bit. Insert the new bolt through the upper arm and the pin and secure with the nylon lock nut.
Reassemble by reversing the procedure above.
