Due to the mechanical differences in the newer Nova
umbrellas the connection from the gearbox to the spindle varies slightly.
Cutting the cylinder of aluminium
supplied to size to act as a spacer will help to strengthen the join between
the gearbox shaft and the threaded rod. When finished the end of the threaded
rod should rest on top of the cylinder to take some of the weight off of the
supplied upgraded high tensile bolts. Please find some extra washers to help
get the fit just right. You will only use the upper hole pictured to connect to
the threaded rod.
